The Finance Committee would not function without the support of its Special Workers, and the vital role that volunteer members serve in this committee is in providing support oversight and ensuring transparency of MA World Service finances. The MA World Services Finance Committee supports the due diligence and fiscal responsibilities of World Services.
Finance Committee Support includes the following:
- Communicating quarterly with the fellowship as to the current status of the World Services finances. Quarterly financial reports are published in Carry the Message: MA12.org/CTM
- Assisting with budgeting, financial planning, and expense tracking for MA World Services.
- Ensuring MA Districts are accurately recording their finances by providing templates.
- Managing the MA World Services annual budget and other financial priorities.
Current Goals:
- Hire a nonprofit accounting company and bookkeeping services.
- Continue to review and expand the Finance Handbook. This resource guide supports the management of both District and Meeting/Group financials.
- Assemble template resources such as an easy to use treasurer’s spreadsheet template for meetings/groups.
