Conferences and Conventions (CoCo) Committee

The Conference is World Service business meeting, often held remotely Conference Resource Library

The Convention is the annual fellowship-wide gathering and celebration of recovery, held in-person – MAWSConvention.org. At this annual fellowship-wide event, members from around the world gather, celebrate, make new friends, and reunite with old ones. The event supports our sobriety, serves our primary purpose, strengthens the fellowship, and is the largest fundraiser for Marijuana Anonymous World Services.

The General CoCo Committee primarily supports District efforts to coordinate and plan the Convention. This includes maintaining the Convention Waitlist to determine future Host Districts.

Convention Committee Current Goals:

  • Resources include past themes/logos, venue contracts, merchandise, registration, fundraising events, subcommittee structures, and more!
  • Communicate regularly with Host Districts for planning status updates and to provide support
  • Further curate the Convention Archive and Resource Library

  • The MA World Service business Conference is held remotely and serves as a forum where the group conscience of Marijuana Anonymous is expressed and decisions affecting MA as a whole are made. The annual fiscal budget is reviewed and approved, trustees are elected, and business for matters which affect MA as a whole is conducted at the MA World Service Conference. The Conference also provides the opportunity to meet MA members to share experience, strength and hope. This sharing provides the unity that binds all members to our common purpose.
